A Day at the Park

Read a simple story about a fun day at the park.

A Day at the Park
It is a sunny day. Maria and her brother, Leo, go to the park. They see many things. They see a big, green tree. A small, red bird sits on a branch. The bird sings a happy song. Maria smiles. Leo has a blue ball. He throws the ball. Their dog, Max, runs to catch it. Max is a happy dog. He wags his tail. They walk to a pond. They see ducks in the water. The ducks are yellow and brown. They make a "quack" sound. Maria and Leo sit on a bench. They eat sandwiches for lunch. Maria has a cheese sandwich. Leo has a peanut butter sandwich. They share an apple. After lunch, they play on the swings. They go up and down, up and down. It is a lot of fun. Soon, it is time to go home. They had a very good day at the park.
